Basic Warranty

Our Ford manufacturers warranty ensures worry-free motoring for up to 2 years. All repairs are carried out in line with the highest quality standards. What’s more, if you sell your Ford, the warranty is transferable a real added benefit for the new owner.

Parts Warranty

Ford Dealers/ Authorised Repairers only use original Ford replacement parts for warranty repairs. These parts meet our stringent quality and safety standards, which means the performance and value of your Ford won’t be affected.

Paint Warranty

Your paint surface warranty begins and ends at the same time as your Ford basic warranty. Simply check your vehicle's service portfolio (formerly Warranty & Service Guide) for the warranty periods for your vehicle.

Ford isn’t responsible for any repairs directly resulting from:

• Damage caused by neglect, flooding, accident, rallying, racing or any other improper use.
• Normal wear and tear.
• Failure to properly maintain the vehicle in accordance with Ford maintenance schedules and service instructions.
• Failure to properly maintain paint and bodywork by regular cleaning in accordance with Ford instructions.
• Unauthorised modifications of the vehicle or its components.
• Failure to rectify any paint or corrosion damage identified during the Body and Paint Check in a timely manner.
• Factors beyond our control, such as damage caused by airborne contaminants, storms, stone chips, scratches or the use of unsuitable cleaning agents.
• Repairs using methods that haven’t been approved by Ford.
•  Failure to use Ford Original Parts, or parts and fluids that match the quality of Ford Original Parts and fluids.

Perforation Warranty

Your Ford bodywork is covered against perforation from the inside for up to 12 years (depending on the model). To maintain this warranty, just take your Ford for regular body and paint checks (which can be combined with your service visits) as described in your service portfolio.

Ford Protect Extended Warranties

All new Ford vehicles come with a 2 year, unlimited mileage Ford Warranty. But if you plan on keeping your vehicle for longer than 2 years, why not consider an extended warranty from Ford?

A Ford Protect Extended Warranty helps protect you from unexpected and expensive repair bills for mechanical breakdown and electrical failure.

You can choose the extended warranty that suits you best, based on your mileage and how long you plan to keep your vehicle.  What’s more, if you do decide to sell your vehicle before the warranty expires, any unexpired warranty period can be transferred to the next owner, which can help enhance your vehicle’s resale value. 

When can I buy?

Ford Protect Extended Warranty Plans can be purchased up to 12 months from the vehicle’s first date of registration.

A one-off upfront payment means that you can relax and enjoy peace of mind motoring for the duration of your extended warranty.

What’s included?

A Ford Protect Extended Warranty includes:

• Cover against the cost of repair or replacement of defective parts, or to repair a material, assembly or manufacturing defect recognised by Ford  
• Reassurance that any such repairs will be carried out by Ford Authorised Dealers using genuine Ford parts
• Protection against unexpected repair bills  

The key components covered are listed below:

• Engine
• Transmission
• Catalytic converter
• Front axle
• Rear axle
• Steering
• Braking system (excluding brake pads, brake discs, brake shoes and brake drums)
• Air conditioning
• Heating
• Ford audio systems (if factory-fitted)
• Airbag
• The entire electrical system including engine control, central locking, ABS, electrically adjusted seats and all other components making up the electronic safety and convenience system factory fitted to your car.

What’s not included?

• All wear and tear parts plus labour to replace these parts
• Damage to vehicles that have been neglected, modified or used for racing or rallying
• Bodywork and paint repairs, repairs to glass, upholstery and interior trim
